Double Band Ndoro Onyx Ring
Double Band Ndoro Onyx Ring

Our silver and onyx chunky Ndoro ring takes its inspiration from the Ndoros that were used as a form of currency during the time of the Kingdom of Great Zimbabwe. These Ndoros were used to purchase goods by the Portuguese traders throughout Southern Africa. Ndoro's became highly prized as not only the "money" of the time but also as a status symbol.
Our Ndoro is a highly stylized representation of the "money" of Great Zimbabwe. We have used recycled sterling silver to handcraft this ode to our African history. The Ndoro pattern is hand-carved into the silver disk and a black onyx set in the middle.
All our rings are made at the time of order to your size specifications
Our gift wrapping is included in the price and consists of a handmade sisal and ilala palm basket. We source these beautiful baskets from women in the rural areas near us. Most of them now come from the Dete and Lupane communities in Zimbabwe. Women in these communities use the baskets to supplement their income from subsistence farming.
Please do let me know if you have any questions that we may be able to assist with.
