Ndebele Sterling Silver Ring

Our Ndebele Peak sterling silver ring is hand engraved with patterns inspired by the beautiful Ndebele homes found in the Matobo Hills just outside Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

The ring starts out as a square bar and is slowly pulled through a wire puller until it is the correct size. then we carefully file it down to the triangle that we used to form the ring. Once it is the right shape we then bend it into a circle and carefully hammer it around a metal stick to make it perfectly round and then solder the two pieces together. Nothing much has changed about the process of making this kind of band for millennia. Once the ring has been again filed and sanded we then painstakingly hand engrave the pattern into the silver.

This ring is part of our Matobo Collection, inspired by the landscapes, people and enduring spirit of Zimbabwe's Matobo Hills.

Packaging
Your jewellery will arrive carefully packed in an African-print cloth bag and protected during transport by our stunning handmade sisal baskets.
