Large Sterling Silver Ndoro Necklace

This large silver Ndoro pendant comes in 25 mm or 30 mm diameter and is handcrafted from recycled silver.

It's a stylised representation of the original Ndoro shells used as Great Zimbabwe's first currency. This was during the Middle Ages, when the kingdom was the largest trading hub in Southern Africa. 

The Ndoro became a symbol of status, worn by the wealthy women of the kingdom.

Packaging
Your jewellery will arrive carefully packed in an African-print cloth bag and protected during transport by our stunning handmade sisal baskets.
